## **About Us**
This proposal is authored by Aakash Athawasya, the lead researcher for PYOR, an onchain data tools provider backed by Castle Island and Coinbase Ventures.
## **Background**
SafeDAO’s governance participation faces a critical challenge: a significant gap exists between active governance decisions and broader community awareness. While governance proposals and voting occur regularly on Snapshot, many community members remain unaware of these crucial decisions that shape Safe’s future.
To address this, we propose implementing an **automated governance tracking system** that bridges the communication gap between onchain governance activities and the broader Safe community. This system would automatically distribute governance updates across Twitter and Telegram, where most community members are active.
## **Process**
1. PYOR will develop and deploy a governance tracking bot that will:
- Monitor and report SafeDAO governance activities on Twitter and Telegram
- Access and process public governance data from Snapshot and forums
- Operate under the official SafeDAO governance social media accounts
1. Implementation of initial success metrics tracking for:
- Governance participation rates
- Community engagement levels
- Social media reach and interaction
1. Regular reporting of bot performance metrics to the community every month
## **Next Steps**
Upon receiving positive community feedback:
1. Development Phase (Weeks 1-2)
- Technical implementation of the tracking system
- Integration with social media platforms [Twitter, Telegram]
- Community testing and feedback collection [internal testing with community members, before public rollout]
1. Beta Launch (Weeks 3-4)
- Limited release to test core functionalities
- Collection of initial performance metrics [from Snapshot primarily]
- Refinement based on community feedback
1. Full Implementation (Week 5)
- Complete rollout of all features
- Begin regular performance reporting
- Ongoing optimization based on usage data
We will also share regular – feedback requests on the Safe Forum to work on improvements and bugs.

### Costs
We anticipate a cost of **9,300 SAFE** to build the bot, integrate it with Snapshot, and build distribution on Twitter and Telegram.

Thanks for the link to the ORBA program. However, the timeline for this is 30 September to 14 October, which has since passed.
Is there a way we can apply ad-hoc to the grants program (given that this fits the Small (\<$10k) `funding` and Short (\<12 weeks) `Project duration`.)?
