Hi Safe community 👋 I’m exploring an idea and would really appreciate feedback from builders and users who actively use Safe wallets. ### The idea A **professional Guardian-as-a-Service** for Safe wallets using Social Recovery. The core concept is simple: - Users keep full self-custody of their assets. - I do NOT hold funds. - I do NOT have unilateral control. - I act as **one of multiple guardians** in a social recovery setup. - I only participate in the recovery process (never in normal transactions). - I can never be the sole guardian (off-chain rule + required threshold). The goal is to provide a **reliable, professional, and neutral guardian** for users who: - Don’t want to rely only on friends/family - Don’t fully trust centralized custody - Want redundancy beyond personal devices - Are managing meaningful amounts of capital * * * ## Proposed Features (MVP) - ✅ Guardian for Safe Social Recovery (n-of-m threshold only) - ✅ Never the sole signer - ✅ Manual recovery verification process (off-chain identity confirmation before signing) - ✅ Time-lock period respected before owner change is finalized - ✅ Clear Terms of Service and transparency about role and limitations - ✅ Activity logging ## Questions for the community 1. I also estimate there is a demand for Safe recovery as a service SRaaS from advanced individuals and organizations. Hey Dusan, this is a really solid idea and honestly feels like it addresses a real gap in the Safe ecosystem—social recovery is powerful, but relying only on friends or family isn’t always practical or secure long-term, so having a neutral, professional guardian that doesn’t hold funds or have unilateral control could add meaningful reliability and redundancy; I’d personally consider using something like this if there’s strong transparency, a clear verification process, and a proven track record over time, though risks like social engineering during recovery or service availability would need careful handling—overall it feels like a trust-first product where reputation will matter more than features, and if executed well it could gain real traction. ---
